Rosie O’Donnell gives ultimatum to daughter before cutting her off

Rosie O’Donnell and her daughter Chelsea are at odds again, this time over Rosie’s idea of therapeutic treatment.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea has been hospitalized four times in recent weeks. In Chelsea’s latest interview, she revealed that Rosie has cut her off and “won’t let her have any contact with her younger siblings until she agrees to a year-long therapy program thousands of miles from home.”

Chelsea shared that she has anxiety and depression issues, but doesn’t want to be forced to get help from across the country. According to Chelsea, “stress” from the fights with her mom is what led to her recent spate of hospital visits for “abdominal pain and episodes of dizziness.”

O’Donnell shared the details of Rosie’s program of choice with the Daily Mail: “Rosie and my other mom Kelli [Carpenter, O’Donnell’s ex] want me to go to Texas for an independent living therapy program. For the first 60 days it’s very restricted, you can’t do anything and it’s just strictly therapy. After that you move into an independent living program where you get your own apartment and you can have your own car.”

Earlier this year, Chelsea ran away from home to move in with Steven Sheerer, 26, a man she met on Tinder. She was 17 at the time. He was charged with third-degree endangering a child and third-degree distribution of obscenity to a minor (thanks to nude photos found on Chelsea’s phone.) Chelsea petitioned a judge to drop the charges, along with an order for no contact. Today, Chelsea is living with family friends in Massapequa, New York.

Our question: Why is Chelsea turning to the press to tell her story? Is she attempting to shame her mother into letting her back into the family? We’re betting Rosie won’t give up on her daughter.
