The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is no doubt very happy right now because after almost a year in federal prison, she is a free woman.

Giudice was officially released from Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, early on Wednesday morning, which means she will be home just in time for Christmas. She was sentenced to 15 months behind bars in January, but she was released early after serving just 11 months of her sentence, the remaining four she will complete at her home in confinement, E! News reports.
According to the publication, Giudice was collected from prison by her attorney, James Leonard Jr. She is now on her way home to Montville, New Jersey, to be with her husband, Joe, and their four daughters.

“Everyone’s just very proud of how she’s handled things and gotten through it and stayed strong,” an insider told E! News earlier this month. “They’re really thankful she’s finally coming home.”
This is a sentiment a source close to Giudice recently echoed to People magazine.
“She is thrilled that she is finally going home,” the source said, later adding, “Prison was tough for her, but she made the best of it.”
And make the best she did, as Giudice used her time behind bars wisely, and now has a memoir, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.
