The custody battle is heating up between Teen Mom‘s Leah Messer and her ex, Corey Simms.
Messer told friends that she believed her ex-husband, Simms, had altered their twin daughters’ school attendance records to make it seem like Messer had dropped Ali and Aleeah off late to school.
A source close to Simms confirmed to Radar Online that Simms did not tamper with the documents, nor did he need to in order to prove that the girls were late. “He did not fudge the school records. That would be impossible. It’s true, Leah failed to get the girls to school on time.”

We’re in for more he said-she said as Simms and Messer prep for a second custody hearing next month. As Radar Online reports, these attendance records are crucial. Messer’s failure to get the girls to school on time was one piece of evidence that led to her loss of primary custody at the original hearing in October. Ali and Aleeah have been residing with their father since then.
Sources close to Messer report that she has been able to prove the records were inaccurate and reflect absences when both girls were actually in class.

“Corey just wanted to protect his kids. That’s why he’s doing all of this,” said an insider from Simms’ camp. Of course, chances are Messer and her camp are saying the exact same thing about their goals for Ali and Aleeah.
