The Real Housewives of Atlanta was hailed for being progressive when it announced its first transgender cast member Amiyah Scott — but Scott has already quit.
And her reasons for doing so are pretty shocking.

According to TMZ, Scott was so disgusted by the producers of the show that she decided to call it quits after just a month of filming. The producers were allegedly trying to sexualize her, wanting her to wear lingerie and act “like a vixen.”
Scott was insulted by the producers’ notes and the fact that they were trying to make her look like the “bitch of the cast,” when the reason she went on the show in the first place was to be a role model, TMZ claims.

However, fellow cast member Kandi Burruss is really bleak that things didn’t work out for Scott, and she sent her a sweet message of support, which Scott shared via Instagram. Scott captioned the post with, “Thank you @kandiburrussfor all the love & support It was a pleasure & I still have some #bedroomkandi.”
Fans may be disappointed that Scott won’t be on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but they think she’d do better having her own show anyway.
Bananabullshitwrote, “You deserve your own reality show.” While bobby_lytes echoed those sentiments, writing, “U need your own show anyways.”

And it looks as though she may be headed in the right direction — TMZ reports that Empire’s Lee Daniels has just cast Scott on a new spin-off TV show.
