Miss Universe 2015 is going to go down in history, but sadly, not for all the right reasons.

There is no denying that host Steve Harvey slipped up when he announced the winner of the show, and Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was unfortunately caught in the crossfire. But her recent comments about the situation are pretty surprising.

Gutierrez has addressed the scandal, and according to TMZ, she suggested that the show may have purposely tried to embarrass her and cause her emotional damage. “If that was the goal, they succeeded,” she said.

And it wasn’t just her who felt insulted by the situation.

“It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country, and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium,” Gutierrez said.

The rightful winner of the crown turned out to be Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and according to the gossip site, Gutierrez’s comment “underscores” what pageant insiders told them about racial tension between Wurtzbach and the Latina contestants.

And for those wondering what Gutierrez thought of Vivid Entertainment’s porn offer (which would earn her up to $1 million), she revealed there’s no chance she’ll be accepting it, exclaiming, “My parents would kill me.”

Do you think that Ariadna Gutierrez’s remarks are unfair? Or is she right to share her thoughts on the situation? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
