Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s tribute to his fiancée has fans teary-eyed (PHOTO)

When it comes to New Year’s Eve kisses, Dancing With the Stars‘ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd do it like the pros, as evidenced by their recent (very passionate) picture.

Taking to Instagram, newly engaged Chmerkovskiy posted a series of snaps of himself and Murgatroyd’s makeout session in the tropical destination of St. Maarten.

But the best part of the post (which shows the pair smooching in the water) is the caption, which Chmerkovskiy used as an opportunity to pay tribute to his fiancée.

It reads, “Last post of ’15 and this one makes sense. @petamurgatroyd and I in the nut shell [sic]: Trying to be serious and dying laughing instead. I am truly blessed because she saw in me something that made her make me her choice. I am so much better now that she’s ‘permanently around’ and all I ask for is a lifetime to prove to her I’m worth it. Baby, I love you. Let’s stay ‘us’ for the rest of our lives. #happynewyear.” Awww.

Comments on the picture prove fans are thrilled that Chmerkovskiy has finally found the one.

Chmerkovskiy recently proposed to Murgatroyd on stage at the SWAY: A Dance Trilogy event in Miami, and the couple couldn’t be happier. Guess now we know why it never worked out for Chmerkovskiy with anyone else.
