(Or, with the addition of Lambert’s new boyfriend Anderson East, a love square.) Stefani doesn’t follow her boyfriend Shelton’s ex-wife Lambert on Twitter or Instagram. Makes sense, right? Well — wait for it — she did like one of her tweets. Is this a power move? Is she trying to make nice? Did her finger accidentally slip while she was Insta-stalking her? What’s. going. on.

To make matters even more comical, the offending tweet is of an Instagram photo of Lambert and her grandmother. The very non-dramatic caption reads, “Her name embroidered inside is priceless. A family heirloom I will cherish forever. I’m so thankful for her and all the things I have learned from her. Nonny is strong, beautiful, feisty and most of all, loving. #grandmastreasures #diamondsfurandwhiskey #wandathewanderer.” Gwen: Why?
Lambert also recently posted a snuggly photo of herself with her new man, East. If Stefani was looking to throw shade, that might have been a better choice of picture.

Whether they’re Team Miranda or Team Gwen, fans are totally surprised and confused.
“I feel like we’re in high school guys @mirandalambert@gwenstefani,” wrote one fan on Twitter. As E! Online points out, Lambert does follow Stefani. Perhaps Stefani is just tossing a pity “like” at her new flame’s ex. Why not? Ah, the politics of social media.
