It’s shaping up to be an exciting year in the Roberston household! Duck Dynasty‘s Korie and Willie have revealed they are in the process of adopting another son.
The good news comes fast on the heels of some other big news for the Southern family — it was mere days ago that the couple’s 27-year-old daughter Rebecca announced her engagement to John Reed Loflin.
After a shaky few years for the reality TV stars, 2016 certainly seems to be off to a solid start.
To share their latest joy, Korie took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon to lay to rest any lingering questions about the unfamiliar face fans have been seeing on the Roberstons’ social media.

“We’ve had a lot of questions about the cute kid popping up in our photos lately. We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son! He’s been with us since May, but we wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world (It’s a bit of an adjustment coming into this big, crazy family, ha),” said Korie.

Don’t worry, though — the new addition (pictured center, above) is fitting in just fine with Korie and Willie’s other kids, Rebecca, 27, John Luke, 20, Sadie, 18, Willie Jr. and Bella, 13.
“He’s amazing, and we are all so thrilled to have another kid around the house. Couldn’t keep the good news to ourselves any longer!” Korie gushed. “We appreciate your prayers and support for our family.”
As Duck Dynasty fans well know, this isn’t the first time the Louisiana natives have grown their family through adoption. Rebecca became a member of the Roberston family when, after staying with them as an exchange student, she became their foster child in 2004 before making it official.

They also adopted their son Willie Jr. Now 13, Will was only 5 weeks old when Korie and Willie made the commitment to bring him into their home. At the time, the Duck Dynasty stars have shared, they didn’t even have the money to pay the adoption fee.

They eventually did, mind you, and they also made it clear they didn’t intend to let financial issues keep them from opening up their hearts and home to more children in the future.
“There shouldn’t be kids without homes,” Korie told People. “It just shouldn’t happen.”
For his part, Willie asserts that adoption has been the crowning achievement in the couple’s lives, making all of the other “cool things in the past couple of years,” such as going to Super Bowls and meeting presidents, pale in comparison.
