Did they, or didn’t they?

In the case of Full House co-stars Stamos and Loughlin, it turns out it depends on who you ask.
Fans of the ’90s sitcom and the romance between Stamos’ and Loughlin’s characters, Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky, have been wishing for decades for a real-life romance between the two actors, something they claimed to find funny in previous interviews.
“John and I had so much fun together, but even I am like, ‘Why are people so obsessed with these two?'” Loughlin said in an interview with People magazine. They both claimed the timing was never right for them — Loughlin was married when Stamos was single, and when she divorced, he was dating Rebecca Romijn. Stamos is now single, while Loughlin has been married to her second husband for 18 years. Still, it seems that all it takes to get to the bottom of this mystery is to ask them directly, though even that doesn’t exactly yield a straight answer.

People caught up again with both actors to ask them the question outright: Was there ever an off-camera romance? The answer depends entirely on whose word you want to take.
The two actors were friends long before they co-starred on Full House, working on daytime soaps together as teens. That’s when Stamos says he made his move.
“He asked me to go to Disneyland to see a band,” Loughlin said.
But was it romantic?
“We fight internally about that,” she added. “I’m like, ‘Was that a date?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah!'”
Stamos, on the other hand, tells a different story.
“As I recall, we ended up kissing,” he said. “That sounds like a date, right?”
