Caitlyn Jenner may not have canceled her tour because of scheduling conflicts

Caitlyn Jenner has quietly canceled her speaking tour, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts.

Caitlyn Jenner had a five-city speaking tour titled “Unique Lives and Experiences” scheduled for 2016, but it’s suddenly been canceled. The tour was set to start off in Toronto on Feb. 22.

TMZ is reporting that Caitlyn had scheduling conflicts so the tour has been canceled.

Given that there are two outstanding court cases relating to the fatal car accident in which Jenner was involved, it may make sense to postpone the tour. She also had a really big year last year with surgeries, lots of appearances and her own reality show.

TMZ spoke to the first venue on the tour and learned there were still “a lot” of tickets left for Caitlyn’s speaking engagement before she backed out. No word on how ticket sales were doing at the other venues. Sources assured TMZ that the tour was “absolutely canceled purely due to the scheduling issues.”

Prior to becoming Caitlyn, Bruce Jenner was a motivational speaker who regularly sold his speeches and appearances. Jenner had mesmerized the world when he won the Olympic gold medal for the decathlon.

E! News recalled a quote Jenner gave the United Press International (UPI) wire service months after the Olympics.

“My speech is motivational. I stress everyone should strive for excellence in everything they undertake. I relate my experiences as an athlete, explaining why one person is No. 1 and another is No. 2. Then I show a short, slow-motion film clip of the last 200 meters of the 1,500-meter run at the Olympics — the final decathlon event — accompanied by ‘To Dream the Impossible Dream.'”

I’d imagine Jenner’s speeches would now cover more of her experience transitioning to Caitlyn and less about the Olympics. Regardless, she is still an American hero and I’d imagine she’d continue to talk about striving for excellence. Hopefully, she’ll reschedule her tour and continue to inspire people.
