2016 Critics’ Choice Awards: Amy Schumer makes big impact on the ceremony

The 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards took place on Sunday night in Santa Monica, California, where some of our favorite movies and stars won big.

Leading the pack was George Miller’s Mad Max Fury Road, which took home nine awards, including Best Director, Best Actress in an Action Movie and Best Actor in an Action movie. In the TV genre, Sam Esmail’s Mr. Robot proved its popularity, taking home Best Drama Series as well as Rami Malek winning Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Undoubtedly, one of the most unforgettable moments of the night was Amy Schumer’s MVP Award speech, in which she referred to herself as “plus-plus-size actress Amy Schumer,” before cracking into a series of hilarious jokes.

But the awards show was anything but boring, thanks to host T.J. Miller, who kept the crowd and viewers entertained with his antics.

If you missed last night’s show, then below is the winners list (winners in bold).
