Jacob Tremblay stole the show (and our hearts) at Critics’ Choice Awards

The 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards took place on Sunday night, and while there were a lot of memorable moments from the show, undeniably, the most adorable moment goes to 9-year-old Jacob Tremblay.

Tremblay took home the award for the Best Young Actor/Actress for his role in the critically acclaimed film, Room — and he couldn’t have been happier.

Taking to the stage, Tremblay’s excitement was evident as he gushed about it being the “best day” of his young life.

“Whoa. This is super cool, this is the best day of my life!” he said. “I first want to say thank you to all the critics who voted for me; it must be a super hard vote because of all of the other great actors in this category.”

Like a true professional, he went on to thank everyone involved in the film; but he really won the hearts of everyone when he thanked his parents.

“I think that us working together made this movie come true, and this award doesn’t just go to me for that, it goes to all of you guys as well,” he said. “I also want to thank my parents, and I love them very much.”

*hearts everywhere melt*

But perhaps the greatest moment of the entire speech was when Tremblay revealed where he would be keeping his award — and he’s clearly a major Star Wars fan.

“And I know where to put this. Right on the shelf right beside my Millennium Falcon!” he revealed.

This kid is awesome.
