It’s a seemingly straightforward question, yet admittedly complex — with no shortage of amazing women in front of and behind the camera last year, it’s nearly impossible to narrow the pool to a singular inspirational woman.

Still, we caught up with stars on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet on Sunday, Jan. 6 and asked them to give it their best shot.

“I’m pretty inspired by the first female president running right now,” said Baby Daddy‘s Chelsea Kane. “I guess that’s the first one that comes to mind. I mean, it’s an amazing time to be in this generation so, yeah, Hillary Clinton would take my vote.”

Another star shared the woman he looked up to most in 2015, revealing a personal connection (and a super-sweet sibling shout-out).

“Obviously I will say my sister, for sure,” said Frankie J. Grande, “for what she does and what she stands for, and the way that she represents herself. And women — she stands up for women so strongly and so passionately and so vehemently, and people are really afraid to do that in this day and age.”

As for Baby Daddy star Jean-Luc Bilodeau, he was moved by the courage and poise of none other than Glamour‘s 2015 Woman of the Year, saying, “The most inspiring woman for me in 2015, I think, would be Caitlyn Jenner. What she’s doing for [the transgender community] is just amazing, shining a light on something that we’ve kind of covered up for so long.”

To hear who other celebrities — including Teen Wolf‘s Arden Cho, Pretty Little Liars‘ Cody Christian and Baby Daddy‘s Tahj Mowry — had to say about the women who were their superheroes last year, check out the video of SheKnows at the show above.
