The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Melissa Gorga and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice have not always seen eye-to-eye, but it looks as though Giudice’s time behind bars has made the two women appreciate the importance of family.

During a recent interview with InTouch Weekly, Gorga shed some light on her current relationship with Giudice — and her comments are bound to surprise fans.
“Drama’s behind us. We are good!” Gorga told the publication. “I think she and I both have realized that we made a lot of silly choices before, and we’ve come a long way.”
Strangely enough, jail may have actually come with a silver lining for Giudice, at least in this respect.
“The situation she was in put everything into perspective, and we learned the little things do not matter,” Gorga admitted.

Family is something that’s been playing on Gorga’s mind in recent months, and she realizes 2016 is going to be a particularly difficult year for the Giudice family.
“It’s all about family. Our kids, our husbands, our parents being happy. That’s where we’re at,” Gorga said, adding that when Joe Giudice begins his prison sentence in March, she and her husband, Joe Gorga, will be there for the family.

“She knows we’re here for her, we’ve always been here for her and anything she needs,” she said.
And when they look at the bigger picture, both women realize just how pathetic and completely pointless their ongoing feud really was.
“Arguing over sprinkle cookies and ridiculous things are so behind us. We are so much bigger and stronger than that now,” Gorga admits.
