Teresa Giudice may be out of prison, but she still faces major restrictions.

According to Radar Online, one of the conditions of her house arrest is that she’s not allowed to drink any alcohol at all — not even a glass of wine at home.
“She is allowed to go to parties where alcohol will be served, but has to get prior approval from her probation officer,” a source close to the Giudices told the site. “Ahead of attending Melissa Gorga’s boutique opening last week, Teresa informed her probation officer that alcohol would be served. She was given the go-ahead.”
The restrictions are so severe, the insider added, that they affect much more than Giudice’s ability to go to parties and red carpet events.

“Going to a restaurant that serves booze also requires approval,” the source said, adding that so far, Giudice is taking it all in stride. “Teresa doesn’t mind it because she is just grateful to be home with the family. The probation officer and Teresa are in constant communication daily. Her schedule is also provided to the official.”
Fellow Housewife Gorga’s boutique opening was the first red-carpet event Giudice attended after she was released from the Danbury, Connecticut, women’s prison where she spent her 11-month sentence. She and her husband, Joe Giudice, both pleaded guilty to a series of tax and fraud charges in 2014. Joe Giudice is set to begin his own prison sentence soon — the two were allowed to serve their sentences at different times so one of them could remain home with their four daughters. Giudice was released early, in late December, allowing her to spend Christmas with her family.
Witnesses at Gorga’s event noted how prison seemed to have changed Giudice.
“She was so Zen after being in prison that nothing is fazing her anymore,” one attendee told reporters. “She had to be told where to stand and what to do and basically did nothing. She wasn’t at all like her old diva self!”
