Bethenny Frankel may have offended more than a few people on social media this week after voicing her opinion about Kmart’s customer service, but she’s not about to apologize for it.
The drama started on Friday, when Frankel was unable to get help she required in locating shoes for herself and her child in a east coast Kmart. And what does one do in this day and age when they don’t get proper attention in a retail or dining establishment? Tweet about it, of course!

“Wow @Kmart has 2 registers open w 5 other employees standing around & two speak no English whatsoever. Shoes are sapatos right?” she tweeted, adding, “Not even attempting kids’ snow boots in spanish (sic).”

Many Twitter users did not take too kindly to Frankel’s comments and bit back by calling her “racist” and comparing her to Donald Trump.

After catching wind of the backlash, Frankel posted another tweet in response, but was not apologetic.
No excuse for being at a retailer & not able to be directed to what u need. 0 to do w race. I'll explain but can't understand it for you.

Frankel indirectly addressed the controversy on Monday, when she told Us Weekly that she really doesn’t give a hoot what the public thinks about her.

“People don’t always love me. They may even hate me, but they know that I’m telling it direct,” Frankel said. “I would never be one of those celebrities that just wants to please everybody and wants to say exactly what everybody wants to hear and tiptoes around. If you want to hear my opinion, go on Instagram or Twitter and it’s there. You don’t have to agree with me.”
