Long-term friendship is clearly a struggle for the Real Housewives of Atlanta, who arguably should drop the forever from BFF. This was evident tonight, when signs of trouble began to appear in Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore’s friendship.
Cynthia Bailey’s marriage seems to be a lot healthier than it was at the beginning of this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The fact that Bailey and her husband, Peter Thomas, were able to plan a group trip to Jamaica without incident shows that they are finally getting along. However, not all of Bailey’s relationships are on steady ground, especially now that NeNe Leakes has come back into the mix and called into question Bailey’s friendship status with Kenya Moore.

While The Real Housewives of Atlanta contingent partied it up in Jamaica, Leakes discreetly made her way onto the island and made a surprise appearance at dinner. It was obvious that Moore wasn’t thrilled to see Leakes, especially since her friendship with Bailey hit a snag earlier in the trip. Moore took it personally when Bailey told her she wouldn’t be appearing in the new commercial for her eyewear line — a commercial produced by Moore’s newest nemesis, Kim Fields. When Bailey’s husband asked Moore why she was mad at Fields, Moore claimed that she would rather gouge out her eyes with a spoon or set herself on fire than talk about the issue any longer.
After Moore excused herself from dinner, Leakes took the opportunity to call Bailey’s friendship into question. Sheree Whitfield, Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks all claimed that Bailey and Moore were “BFFs,” but Leakes just wasn’t buying it. Bailey herself even admitted that her friendship with Moore was still in the beginning stages, and that she wouldn’t give it the sacred classification of “BFF.” Leakes claimed that Moore was just a temporary replacement for her and that, while things between herself and Bailey were much better than in the past, she was simply Bailey’s best friend for now, or BFFN.

Viewers seemed to, shockingly, side with Moore on this issue, claiming that Bailey wasn’t very loyal to Moore by excluding her from the eyewear commercial and reigniting her friendship with Leakes.
With Leakes back in the picture, it will be interesting to see how Bailey and Moore’s relationship evolves.
