Goulding recently did an interview with Red magazine in which she shared how she and her exhausted band members once had an IV vitamin drip.
“I had to pay for me and the band to have IV vitamin drips. Can you believe it? We’re backstage at Alan Carr [chat show] and we’re all sat there on drips,” she said, adding, “The last month has been really testing, on everything. On my sanity, really. The music industry isn’t like other industries — there are no rules about working hours. A working day will start with a 4 a.m. flight and finish at 3 a.m. the next day. Sometimes I don’t have time to eat. I go, ‘are we gonna get lunch?’ And everyone around me is like…”
She then reportedly took a “sharp intake of breath that signifies ‘No’.” She does, however, go on to say that she, “can’t even tell you what I’ve eaten this week because you’ll secretly judge me” — which included marshmallows, Nando’s and crisps.
Goulding has since slammed Metro for “misquoting” her after they reported that she was “too busy to eat.” Setting the record straight Goulding referred to the “misleading,” “absurd” claims about her lifestyle.
