Bad news for Mob Wives fans: Show favorite Big Ang just got some very bad news regarding her health, and things are not looking optimistic.
Big Ang is suffering from brain and lung cancer, and now things have gotten so bad that her family has started a GoFundMe account to help pay for a controversial alternative treatment.
According to her sister Janine Detore, Ang’s stage 4 cancer stopped responding to the latest round of chemo she started at the beginning of the year, and she is in extreme pain — so the family is now turning to the promise of cannabis oil.
“Chemotherapy was started January 5th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change,” Detore explained on the GoFundMe page.
“We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week. Well here we are at the emergency room waiting to see why her breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she could handle. So I suggested cannabis oil as an alternative. This is why I am putting up this go fund me to try to help my sister to get this oil to help her at least be pain free. Angela cannot function to work anymore. I’m not sure that it will work but I’m praying . We all thank you in advance for your prayers & kind wishes. Help Big Ang fight her BIGGEST BATTLE!”

As of this writing, the page has raised over $20,000 — close to the $25,000 the family says they need for the treatment.
If what Detore claims is true, then Big Ang seriously misled fans last week when she told Radar Online her recent hospital visit was just routine testing and her cancer was still in remission.
Ang underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her throat last April. She had been given a clean bill of health until December, when she was informed that her cancer had returned with a vengeance.
