What’s a bigger step in a new relationship than meeting someone’s parents? Meeting their kids.
Katy Perry joined Orlando Bloom in taking his son to a star-studded birthday party on Saturday, Feb. 6 for Robert Downey Jr.’s son. Casual.
According to Us Weekly, an insider says that Perry first arrived at Bloom’s Los Angeles home. Then, the pair drove to Downey’s Malibu residence together with Bloom’s son. And pics prove it happened.

At first glance at the photo, we had to wonder, why is Perry sitting in the back seat instead of up front with Orlando? But according to the source, “Katy was entertaining Flynn so he wouldn’t get bored. It was a long drive and she was talking to him and making him laugh.”
Aw, how sweet! We love that the “Roar” singer opted to sit in the back and hang out with Flynn.
Perry and Bloom were first rumored to be an item after reportedly getting flirty at a Golden Globes after-party less than a month ago. Even though this romance is said to be in the early, honeymoon stages, the source revealed that the pair kept their hands to themselves at the family-friendly event.

“The birthday party had a ‘Jurassic’ theme and there was a giant obstacle course and balloon maker. Orlando was really focused on Flynn and walking around the party holding his hand,” according to the source. “Katy stayed behind them most of the time and let them do their thing.”
Since the Golden Globes, Perry and Bloom were reportedly spotted out and about a number of times, including a celebrity-packed dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel.
“She’s having fun with Orlando,” another source told Us Weekly. “I don’t think she’s seeing this as long-term yet. It’s a fun hookup thing right now.”
Bloom was previously married to Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares son Flynn. The pair split in October 2013 after three years of marriage.

Perry was married to actor Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, but last romantically linked to singer-songwriter, John Mayer. The ex-couple were spotted ringing in the New Year together on Dec. 31 at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood.
