Had any doubts that Lady Gaga was the right person to perform the David Bowie tribute at tonight’s Grammy awards?
She’s more than ready — she already got a permanent reminder of the artist and the night. Gaga shared a video of herself on Snapchat getting a tattoo of Bowie’s face from the cover of his album Aladdin Sane.
According to People, the likeness is courtesy of West Hollywood tattoo artist Mark Mahoney.

Gaga said of Bowie to The Hollywood Reporter, “He is a true, true artist and I don’t know if I ever went, ‘Oh, I’m going to be that way like this,’ or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that’s what drew me to him.”
Gaga’s tribute, which will span “three to four songs” according to The New York Times, is the culmination of a lifetime of love for Bowie. Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich described the event as “a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way.” Who better to carry that mantle than Lady Gaga?
