Married at First Sight‘s Sam Role loses cool over her husband’s confession

by

For most of us, it takes a while before we find the person who is right for us, and even then, marriage is sometimes not in the cards. But Married at First Sight is an entirely different concept and, as Season 3 proves, one with some explosive results.

In case you haven’t watched the series before, it’s basically a social experiment that sees two complete strangers getting hitched, and they figure out the rest of the important stuff afterwards. But it doesn’t always work out, as evidenced by the rocky patch Sam Role and Neil Bowlus are currently going through.

The couple is in their fifth week of marriage and all hell broke loose between the newlyweds when Role couldn’t get off work and Bowlus was forced to head to a Las Vegas, Nevada, wedding alone. Role was really missing her husband, but when they video-chatted later that night and she asked him if he missed her, and instead of pretending he did, he straight out shrugged and said “No.”

“No,” Bowlus replied. “It takes me a long time to miss someone.”

But her husband’s admission left Role hurt and she told him as much, (which only ended up confusing Bowlus), and she later vented to the camera about how she wasn’t sure if they would be able to take their relationship to the next level.

“He doesn’t deserve to talk to me,” Bowlus began. “I feel like Neil could have been that piece that lasted with me, and we could take this relationship to another level, but at this point, though, after five weeks, after experts have given advice about what to do, how to speak to me, things to work on together — as much as they’ve given me the same advice, that has shown it has meant jack shit to him. Jack shit!”

Wow. Just wow.

But it’s not just Bowlus and Role that were having issues this week: Tres Russell and Vanessa Nelson expressed their concerns about whether or not to move in together. Russell felt they should wait, while Nelson was afraid that if they had no plans to live together, their relationship might crumble.

David Norton and Ashley Doherty were not drama-free either, as they struggled to turn over a new page and leave their problems in the past.

Married at First Sight Season 3 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on FYI.

Do you think Role and Bowlus will make their relationship work? One thing is for sure — the cracks are already starting to show.
