There’s no point in diving into Fuller Housewithout a heavy dose of Full Housenostalgia, right? The cast seems to be just as excited to relive the good ol’ days as the fans.
John Stamos posted a video of himself uncle-ing around with toddlers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, taken when the Full House cast was shooting on location in Hawaii in 1989. The only way the video could get any cuter is if the twins were coming back for the reboot along with Uncle Jesse, D.J., Kimmy Gibbler and the rest of the Tanner family.

According to People, the Olsens’ work running their fashion lines Elizabeth and James and The Row conflicted too much with the series’ production schedule for the twins to work out an appearance. Plus, said executive producer Bob Boyett, Mary-Kate and Ashley, now 29, haven’t acted since age 17. “Mary-Kate said, ‘It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us,'” Boyett said. The series will make a joke of Michelle’s absence by claiming she’s too busy running a fashion line to return home.
The cover story was John Stamos’ idea, Stamos says. “We were playing around with jokes, you know, it’s not meant to be a dis,” said Stamos, “It’s just kind of like, ‘Oh!'”

Candace Cameron Bure also dug into her home movies this weekend, sharing a video of herself hamming it up for the camera on the same Hawaii trip in 1989.
