The 2016 Brit Awards have already given us a lot to be excited about — from the announcement of Justin Bieber’s performance to Ant and Dec’s hilarity on stage — but perhaps the most eagerly anticipated part of the ceremony is the tribute to David Bowie.

Bowie’s talent, longevity and charismatic personality touched the lives of many and, while multiple tributes have already been made in honour of his life, reports suggest that the Brits, held at London’s O2 Arena on Feb. 24, will honour the “Space Oddity” singer in a very big way — and there will be many A-listers helping to make it one of the most memorable moments of the show.
Kate Moss is rumoured to be a part of the tribute, which comes as no surprise because she has already proven herself to be a massive fan — remember when she took to the Brits stage in 2014 wearing Bowie’s iconic red Woodlands Creatures playsuit from “Ziggy Stardust?”
But Moss is only one of a handful of entertainers anticipated to take to the stage on Wednesday night, as she is expected to introduce a number of performers who will sing a medley of rock songs, The Mirror reports. Artists in the running for the tribute reportedly include Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, U2 and Damon Albarn — what a line-up, right?
A music source shed light on what to expect to The Sun revealing that, “A few artists approached the Brits to ask if they could be involved in the David Bowie tribute as they want to make sure it is done properly.”

The source continued, “He was a British icon and they want to provide a credible farewell which can honour that.”
“The band will be full of musicians who grew up with Bowie and were inspired by him, meaning artists like Noel [Gallagher], Damon [Albarn] and Bono.”
However we probably won’t see any of the new British musical talent perform as part of the tribute.
“It is unlikely to involve young acts such as Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran,” the source said, adding, “but there will be a few artists who are already singing on the night who will be asked if they want to take part too.”
“The organisers are putting everything into it. If they get it right, it will be epic,” the source concluded.
So epic, in fact, that the awards may even run long, as the organisers have asked ITV for permission to extend the show by 30 minutes, The Sun reports.
Brits chairman Max Lousada has also commented about the awards and is quoted by the BBC as saying, “David Bowie was one of the most important and influential songwriters and performers ever and, like so many fans around the world, we’re devastated to hear of his loss.

“A visionary and ground-breaking pioneer, he has inspired generations of musicians and will continue to shape music for many years to come.
“Naturally, we wish to honour his extraordinary life and work at the forthcoming Brit Awards and pay a fitting tribute to one of our greatest icons.”
One thing is for sure the tribute is already the Brits moment we’re most excited for.
