Teen Mom Maci Bookout’s new Instagram post isn’t going down well with fans

We love Teen Mom star Maci Bookout: She’s a great mom, she’s even-tempered with a positive outlook and she has a stable, loving relationship (a great environment for her children to grow up in). However, some of Bookout’s actions has been angering fans lately.

And those actions are her constant social media promotions.

It’s something that many reality TV stars seem to get involved with: promoting and endorsing products on social media in return for a fee. But has Bookout taken the endorsements too far? For many, it seems the answer to that question is “yes.”

On Wednesday, Bookout took to Instagram to share an image of herself curling her hair. She captioned the post with, “Love using my @numestyle curling wand to get gorgeous curls that last! To get any curling wand for $39 + FREE SHIPPING IN THE US, click the link in my bio and use code LOVEMACI. #numestyle.”

But while she’s loving the product, some fans aren’t loving the promotion, especially as some feel Bookout does not even curl her own hair.

“Hate when reality stars advertise a product that they don’t use,” future.mrs.honodel wrote, adding, “First her hair actually has only one ok looking curl in the picture. Second she literally never actually curls her hair. Fools fools fools.”

Elliannas_mama agreed with this comment, writing, “@future.mrs.honodel I know she never has curled hair in any season and I’m sure she isn’t left handed. She mostly uses her Instagram to promote stuff. But I guess business is business.”

Momofonetwo called Bookout out for the same reason, saying, “Lol so true… Macy… you always straighten your hair….. haha still love you.”

“Omg maci [sic] so sick of your advertising…thought u werent [sic] like the rest of em [sic] smh,” msmee__ wrote.

But do you agree? Is the criticism of Bookout’s promotion for the products fair? Should she be focusing her attention elsewhere, or is she simply taking advantage of an opportunity? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
