With Fuller Houseavailable to watch, John Stamos has been hitting the press circuit. Luckily for us, that means we get a continuation of the “Did they or didn’t they?” story between him and on-screen wife Lori Loughlin.
In Thursday’s appearance on Live with Kelly & Michael, Stamos addressed Loughlin’s assertion that the two never dated.
In a February appearance on the show, Loughlin said their brief relationship was very casual. “We met, became friends, he lived on the West Coast, I grew up in New York,” says Loughlin, “I ended up going to Disneyland with him. One time he came to New York, and he went out with my friends and myself. So he always says that we were dating and I say, ‘No, that’s not really dating!'”

Stamos, on the other hand, took the relationship a little more seriously. “Do you consider making out on the Matterhorn a date or not? That seems like a date,” he said.
Stamos continued, “It was a long time ago. We were like 18, 19 years old. We were both on the soap operas. I was on General Hospital and she was on [The Edge of Night].”

Fuller House has already been renewed for a second season, so Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky will be spending plenty of long hours together again. Loughlin has been married to fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli for 16 years, so we’ll stop wishing for an off-screen reunion right… now.
