At the end of NCIS Season 13, Michael Weatherly will officially depart as the beloved Tony DiNozzo. However, Tony’s exit story line still seems to be in the works and being kept under wraps, executive producer Gary Glasberg told TV Line. That said, there seems to be hope for some type of Tony and Ziva, aka Tiva reunion, in some way, shape or form.

Like I’m sure many fans are hoping, Glasberg is taking Tony’s final story very seriously. He said it is a “huge deal, and I’ve been literally thinking about it for six months now… lots of planning.” Glasberg also revealed he’s been lucky in the sense that there are other NCIS staff members helping out. “I will say that when you have a writing staff, people that have been involved as long as some of these writers have, they get super excited about what we’re doing. That makes me happy, because it means we’re on the right track.”
So, what about Tiva? Will Tony and Ziva finally reunite? Many fans, including myself, are hoping DiNozzo will part the series by either going off to run his very own NCIS team or jetting off to meet up with Ziva, wherever she may be nowadays. Well, things are looking somewhat decent in the Tiva department.
“You can’t have Tony leave the show and not get into that in some respect,” Glasberg told TV Line about Ziva being part of Tony’s farewell. “So plan on it being discussed and handled, even if it’s in the background.”

As much as I would love to see Cote de Pablo make a surprise appearance, I don’t think that will happen. So, as long as Ziva is mentioned and part of Tony’s conclusion, then I’ll take what I can get. But, really, Tiva just needs to get together already. Who’s with me?
NCIS returns with its 300th episode on Tuesday, March 15 at 8/7c on CBS.
