Bringing Up Bates stars Chad and Erin Paine reveal the gender and name of their baby exclusively to SheKnows.
The couple announced they were expecting their second child in mid-February.

In an adorable new video, Erin holds a pink balloon while she laughs and smiles. Chad then comes in and hugs her, holding a sign that reads “Brooklyn Elise” — their baby’s name.
“We have always loved the name Brooklyn, so when we found out we were having a little girl, we had already picked the name,” Erin told SheKnows.
She added that the middle name was a little more challenging.
“Since we had already decided on her first name, we spent our time trying to pick a middle name that flowed with it. We both loved the name Grace, but with a little persuasion from Chad, we picked Elise, which is also my middle name.”
The couple had previously chatted with SheKnows about just how excited they are to welcome baby No. 2.
“Chad and I wanted to surprise everyone on Valentine’s Day with our baby news, which meant we had to keep our news a secret for several weeks,” Erin explained. “In my family, keeping secrets is almost impossible. My family was completely and utterly shocked! With all of the previous trouble we had with miscarriages and pregnancy, I think they thought Chad and I would be the last married couple to announce baby news. It should come as no surprise that God’s plans are always better than mine, but in this case, the shock factor was very present.”

The couple’s first child, Charles Stephen IV, or Carson, was born on May 15, 2015. Carson was also on hand to share in the family’s excitement with a fun family photo sesh.

As for whether the family plans to keep on expanding, Erin explained, “It’s hard to imagine what the future may hold. So far, parenting has been fun, rewarding and quite the adventure. While Brooklyn was a surprise, we feel so blessed and so excited that she’s on her way, and we couldn’t be more in love with Carson. We’re really trying to stay focused on getting Brooklyn here and soaking every moment in as our little family of three.”
