The International Rescue Committee is sponsoring the campaign with HBO and Game of Thrones. The committee “responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic well-being and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster,” also according to the statement.
“We are currently facing the worst humanitarian crisis since World War II,” President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee David Miliband said. “Our partnership with HBO and Game of Thrones — which premiered around the same time the war in Syria began — hopes to galvanize the general public to take action and rise up for refugees.”

One person who donates will be randomly selected to attend the Season 6 premiere and party with the cast.
