On the heels of Josh Duggar’s return from rehab — just in time for the Jill & Jessa: Counting On premiere — Amy Duggar’s husband Dillon King is opening up about what it’s really like to have their disgraced brother back in the family. In a new interview with In Touch Weekly, King says the family has lost trust in Josh, and they are keeping their children away from him.

“It’s not ever going to be the same,” King said. “It’s not ever going to be what it was.”
Beyond an emotional boundary, family members are keeping a physical distance from Josh, who has admitted to cheating on his wife Anna and was accused of molesting five underage girls, including four of the younger Duggar sisters.
“There are people in the extended family who definitely won’t bring their children near Josh,” said a source, who the publication said is a Duggar family member. The unidentified family member continued, “Who would want their kids around him after all he’s done?”

In an interview with People earlier this month, the Duggar sisters attest that they’ve forgiven their brother but are taking some time to rebuild trust.
“[Trust] is something that takes a while. We love him very much, though, and we are very hopeful for the future,” Jessa said. Ben Seewald raised concerns about Josh’s wife Anna and her kids, saying “I want to look for ways to help heal the situation for Josh and for Anna and their kids especially.”
