The Bachelor‘s newest couple, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, is hitting the ground running.

After they turned down host Chris Harrison’s offer for a televised shotgun wedding during Monday’s “After the Final Rose” special episode, the two sat down with People magazine to discuss their actual wedding plans, as well as everything else the near future has in store.
First up? Bushnell will be moving from her home in Marina del Rey, California, to live with Higgins in Denver, Colorado.
“I’m just excited to go grocery shopping together,” Bushnell told the magazine. Higgins added, “I want to hold her hand in public. And I’m excited to work on our house together.”
They have been open about how neither of them wants a long engagement, something they reiterated in their interview with People.
“I’ve never been the girl to dream about her wedding, but now I’m starting to think about it,” Bushnell admitted.

Higgins is on the same page, and explained why he’s looking forward to tying the knot sooner rather than later, but still with some time to plan.
“I want a huge reception,” he said. “How often in life do all your friends and family gather in one room to celebrate something? Why get married tomorrow if we can plan a big-ass party?”
As for further down the line, the newly engaged couple agrees on one other big decision.
“We want three kids,” Bushnell revealed. “I want a girl in the mix.”
But despite being on the same page yet again, Higgins said there’s no rush to start a family.
“Lauren is a really good caretaker,” he said. “She wants a dog and kids. First we’ll get the dog!”
