So, they made us wait a big, fat 14 years for a sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but we simply don’t mind because we’re just so darn excited! In this exclusive video, Nia Vardalos and her gang of Greeks remind us just what family is all about.

Probably the most exciting thing about this sequel is that all the main cast members, John Corbett, Lainie Kazan and Andrea Martin, are back, making it feel like a true family reunion. But it’s no surprise everyone wanted to return for the movie since Nia Vardalos draws upon her own family’s experiences to give authenticity to Toula’s story.
“Nia puts blood, sweat and tears into writing these stories and pulling from her real life and finding a way to make it funny or make it dramatic,” said Corbett, who plays Toula’s husband, Ian.
One thing that carries over into the sequel is the chemistry Vardalos and Corbett share on-screen.
“Anything that we feel in a scene, we will explore together,” said Vardalos about her co-star.
But there is one exciting addition to the clan, and that’s Toula and Ian’s daughter, Paris, played by Greek-American actress, Elena Kampouris, who was just 17 years old when they shot the movie.

“I was nervous coming into such a close-knit family, kind of cast environment. But everybody took me in with open arms, which was really nice,” said Kampouris. You may remember Kampouris from 2013’s Labor Day, also starring Kate Winslet.
About working with Kampouris, Vardalos said, “This girl plays this role so beautifully because she knows it.” Looks like fans may have a new favorite character to gush over.
