Joey died March 4 at age 40, passing peacefully at her Indiana home, according to Rory, after a long fight against cervical cancer.

“My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven,” Rory wrote on his blog at the time. “The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased and all her tears are dry. Joey is in the arms of her beloved brother Justin and using her pretty voice to sing for her Savior.”

According to People magazine, Rory and Indiana have returned to the Feeks’ Tennessee farm after attending a memorial in Joey’s hometown of Alexandria, Indiana.

“[This was] the same place where Joey had played basketball and volleyball and cheered for her home team,” he wrote in his blog about the memorial, which was held at Joey’s old high school. “I know my wife would’ve found a way to see the beauty in this sad day.”
