Peta Murgatroyd hurts her DWTS partner, sending him to the hospital (VIDEO)

Man down! Dancing with the Stars has claimed its first injury of the season, and Peta Murgatroyd’s elbows are to blame.

America’s Next Top Model cycle 22 winner Nyle DiMarco was left bloody and stunned when a dance move went awry during his first rehearsal.

The session started out great, with Murgatroyd clearly enjoying the view when DiMarco removed his shirt. “Yes! I’m totally fine with this!” she said as he disrobed.

But things quickly got serious when Murgatroyd clipped DiMarco right above his eye with her elbow during a high-speed spin, leaving a bloody gash.

The incident was caught in this special sneak peek obtained by Us Weekly.

DiMarco first appeared to laugh it off, but things got serious when he checked his wound in the mirror and saw blood. Better call the plastic surgeon!

“Oh, my God,” said Murgatroyd. “I’m so sorry. I have never hit anyone that badly in my whole life.”

Luckily, all’s well that ends well. DiMarco, who is deaf, headed off to the hospital for stitches, and when he returned he said through his interpreter, “So I just left the hospital. I had to get four stitches on my left eyebrow. I definitely realized today that dancing is definitely a full-contact sport — and I like it!”

Maybe Murgatroyd should beat him up some more for a chance at a DWTS mirror-ball win repeat!
