“I don’t want to always be seen as a reality TV person. I want people to see that there’s more that I can do, and that’s why I’m heading into acting,” she told Hunger magazine in a special photo spread for their fifth birthday issue. “My lifelong dream is to get a main role in a movie, and I really hope that happens one day.”
And she actually credits Sia with giving her the courage to “not be afraid to be whatever crazy character,” as well as showing her a great way to handle the pitfalls of fame: Remain incognito.
“One of the things that I find really cool is that when we go to lunch no one really knows who she is because they don’t recognize her face,” Maddie explains. “I think that’s the best of both worlds.”
