The Giudice family has been through a lot, and as Joe Giudice prepares for his 41-month prison sentence on Wednesday, he reveals just how difficult it’s going to be to say goodbye to his four daughters.

“My kids are very smart, and they know what the deal is,” Giudice told People magazine. “The younger ones don’t understand why you have to go, what you did — I don’t think either one of them know exactly why you are going in, but you we just told them that we did some things wrong, and we gotta go in.”
His daughters have obviously been through this before, as their mother Teresa Giudice recently served 11 months of her 15-month prison sentence behind bars for fraud charges before being released just in time for Christmas 2015. But for Joe, the thought of saying goodbye has left him extremely emotional, and he admits to suffering from a breakdown.
“I had a little meltdown the other night with my daughter Gabriella talking to her,” Giudice admitted, adding, “but we will be all right, we will get through it.”
Joe’s second-youngest daughter, Milania, also proved that his last few days (before he heads to prison) were filled with family and love, as she recently paid tribute to him in the sweetest way on Instagram.
But aside from struggling to be apart from his family while he serves his sentence for fraud charges at the Federal Correctional Institute, Fort Dix, in New Jersey, Giudice does not seem to be too concerned with being behind bars, and he did previously tell People that the low-security prison would be “no big deal.”

Of course, prison is not something you can prepare for beforehand, as his wife Teresa previously revealed, so we can never really know how Joe will cope.
