Jana Duggar gets emotional while talking about finding a husband

Jana Duggar insists she is not the Cinderella sister — she wants a husband and family, and has very clear ideas about what kind of man is her type.

In a very Jana-centric episode of Counting On, Jana reveals that not only does she have some pretty sharp handywoman skills, but she does not intend to be single forever.

When asked by producers where she sees herself in five years, Jana became very emotional — because her sisters Jill and Jessa are living the life she wants for herself.

“That is so hard to say,” she said. “I don’t know. I don’t really know what the next five years look like. I guess in some ways you have hopes and dreams.

“There have been different guys who have come along and asked but they haven’t been, I don’t know, the right one,” she says, admitting that she has been tempted just so she can have the same life as her sisters.

“It can be tempting, like, ‘Oh, I really want to be married,’ because in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones and are going on dates and doing their thing,” she explains. “It’s like this weird in-between stage. I’m not a younger one but I’m not an older, married one with kids.”

And Jana has some definite opinions on her ideal man: she likes ‘em dirty.

“A hard-working guy versus an office-job guy,” she said. “I want dirt under the nails.”
