Another former contestant on The Bachelor has died entirely too young. Erin Storm, who participated in Season 12, died in a plane crash in Los Angeles on Monday. Storm was part of Matt Grant’s season on the show back in 2008. She had since been working as a pilot, which is what she was doing when she died.

According to the reports, Storm was taking off from the Hawthorne Municipal Airport in an Airborne XT-912 light-sport, weight-shift control plane and crashed soon after taking off.
Byron Mayes, who saw the whole thing from where he was working, told NBC, “All of a sudden, my partner started yelling, ‘Watch out, there’s a plane coming!’, and it looked like the plane veered up, lost control and hit a couple feet away from the truck, a couple feet away from us.”

NBC reported that when rescue crews arrived on the scene, Storm’s legs were on fire, and she was in cardiac arrest. She was pronounced dead at the trauma center she was transported to from the crash.
Storm worked as a pilot for Pacific Blue Air, an aircraft training facility based at Hawthorne Airport. She was working and doing what she loved during her final flight.
Tragedy is following around the contestants of The Bachelor lately. If there is any bright side in all of this, it is that contestants’ families have found a way to let it bring them closer as they mourn the death of their friends.
