Anyone trying to follow Todd Chrisley has some pretty big shoes to fill. Todd is successful, witty, caring and a little bit out of his mind. The combination of charm and authenticity gives him a huge personality that’s hard to compete with in any room. But if there is one person who can shine Todd, it’s his oldest son, Chase.
Chase is also funny, caring and definitely a little crazy just like his dad. But lately, Chase has been stealing the show from his dad. We’ve got seven reasons Chase may actually be the new star of Chrisley Knows Best.

1. He’s always ready for friendly competition — especially with his sister, Savannah
Chase takes his brother-sister rivalry to a whole new level, and it’s always so funny to watch. You can tell he loves annoying his sister, but not too much. Just enough to be considered a good brother. Like when he teases her about how Todd is going to kill her for bringing home a dog all the while helping her hide it.
2. He balances out his dad
He handles Todd’s big personality by being understated and calm. While the two are bickering throughout the episode, watching Todd get more riled up while Chase calmly annoys him is perhaps the best moment of the show.

3. He’s charming in a bad-boy-that-won’t-hurt-you kind of way — that’s a thing, right?
If you’ve watched the show at all, you’ve seen Chase’s mischievous smile show up at least three times in an episode, especially when he knows he’s causing trouble. It’s all harmless, of course, but it’s what makes him so fun to watch.
4. Family is very important to Chase
Even though he is in college and trying to experience all that college has to offer, he’s still constantly back at home visiting with his parents and spending quality time with his younger brother.
5. He uses Todd’s antics against him
When watching the show, you realize that living under the same roof with a dad as particular as Todd would be pretty exhausting. Watching Chase take advantage of the way his dad acts is one of the highlights in every episode.

6. He is the most down-to-earth Chrisley kid
Julie Chrisley is, by far, the most normal one in the house, but second place goes to Chase. You know he comes from a family with money, but he’s not over-the-top about it. However, Todd might disagree with me on this point.
7. He’s got great style
Let’s face it. Sometimes Southern style can be over the top, but Chase always manages to look well-dressed and cool. That definitely counts for something.
