The first trailer for Bridget Jones’s Baby has just dropped, and it seems to leave us with a lot more questions than answers. First of all, it’s unclear what happened between Bridget and Darcy, causing him to be a no-show at the wedding. But the even bigger mystery is: With Bridget preggers, who’s the baby daddy?
Surprisingly, Renée Zellweger herself claims she doesn’t know, either. How can that be? The actress shot three different endings to the film, keeping everyone mostly in the dark.
“It’s kind of brilliant. None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget’s baby or who she’ll choose as her beau. The plan is to keep us all in the dark, right up to the premiere,’ said Zellweger, according to the Daily Mail. Let’s take a look at the possibilities.

Possible ending 1
According to this new trailer, Bridget Jones appears to get left at the altar by Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). It’s unclear why he doesn’t show up, but because we see him later in the trailer, we can rule out the possibility that Darcy got hit by a bus. For some reason, he got cold feet, and we’re sure one of the endings is Darcy coming back into Bridget’s life, especially if he is the father of her baby. Of course, this is pretty predictable, but it would play off the setup of Darcy and Bridget living happily ever after from the other two films.

Possible ending 2
Bridget meets a “McDreamy” American named Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey) and seems completely head-over-muddy-heels for him. She admits to sleeping with him, though not to having a “three-way” as Pamela (Gemma Jones) suggests. So, Bridget could end up marrying Jack and maybe even heading off to America, setting up another sequel that could show Bridget Jones trying to fit in with the Yanks in the States.

Possible ending 3
Bridget may not end up with either Darcy or Qwant and decide to do the single mom thing. To us, this sounds very likely, since Bridget has always made unconventional choices and has a spotty history when it comes to making relationships work. If she gives birth to a son, he may very well become the one man in her life that will never leave her — at least, until he grows up and wants to marry a flighty party girl of his own.
