Supernatural: Chuck may be Sam and Dean’s saving grace from final death

Reaper Billie just might make good on the promise she made Sam at the beginning of Season 11. Remember how she told Sam that he and Dean would no longer get a second chance at life if either of them died? Well, based on the promo for “Red Meat,” it looks like she is coming for one of them — or maybe even both.

As you can see in the promo below, not only does it tease “fear the reaper,” but it appears that Sam gets shot. Then, Billie is heard saying, “No more second chances. I’m here to reap you.” That definitely doesn’t sound good, does it?

I find it hard to believe that either Sam or Dean will die for good, because then what’s the point of the series? That said, to kill one of them off in the middle of the season definitely would make for an unexpected twist.

So, let’s say it does happen. If Sam or Dean do die, then what? Billie seems to be quite serious about making sure they stay dead, once or if Sam and Dean die. Since I don’t believe they will actually remain dead, how would they be brought back?

If that definitely happens, I hope Chuck would extend a helping hand. Since Rob Benedict is returning in Episode 20 as the beloved Chuck, he could be the solution to if Sam or Dean get killed. Firstly, he was their friend, so why would he want them to stay dead?

Secondly, there have been rumors ever since Chuck departed the series in Season 5 that he is now God. Well, Season 11 has heavily revolved around God and his sister, Amara/the Darkness, so Chuck could very well be the Man Upstairs. Whatever the case, who more powerful than God to bring back the Winchesters from death? I think I found the solution.

However, seeing as “Red Meat” is only Episode 17 and Chuck doesn’t return until Episode 20, would they really have that many episodes without Sam or Dean? Hey, it could happen. Maybe part of Chuck’s return is either Sam or Dean going on a quest to bring their brother back to life. They might just realize God is the answer and, boom, enter Chuck.

I might be grasping at straws here, but in the world of Supernatural, anything can happen. Let’s just hope that doesn’t include Sam or Dean dying for good.

Supernatural airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
