In March, it was revealed that Lowell was heading to a rehab center in Arizona to seek treatment for severe depression and anxiety. Now, Lowell is updating her fans on her progress, leaving many hopeful that she could be returning home to Michigan and her family soon.

Lowell’s followers on the social media site were excited to see the update, and flooded her page with responses expressing their support.

“Yay! Yay! Been praying for you every day sweet girl. So proud of you for putting in the work to get well. You are loved!” one wrote. Another added, “so proud of you Cate for seeking help you need to fix yourself and family. Anxiety is hard t [sic] to handle and so is depression.”

Lowell checked into the center on March 16, after she was seen throughout the last season of Teen Mom OG struggling with her mental health. According to her husband, Tyler Baltierra, Lowell was reluctant to get out of bed, sleeping more and sending their 1-year-old daughter Nova to stay with her mom for days on end. Lowell’s therapist believed postpartum depression was to blame for Lowell’s struggles, and she eventually accepted the diagnosis and sought treatment.

So far, Lowell has been very open with fans about her struggles, leading many to speculate that her time in rehab will be documented on the next season of Teen Mom OG.
