Khloé Kardashian is done being the good guy, and we really don’t blame her

Khloé Kardashian’s personal life is complicated, to say the least, but she’s been doing some soul searching recently, and it looks as though she’s ready to remove some people from her life once and for all.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Kardashian shared a post, which read, “It doesn’t matter how loyal you are to someone. You can’t change someone’s heart and bad habits unless they want to themselves.”

Kardashian shared her thoughts on this quote in a very emotional and lengthy caption about “letting go” of those who bring negativity to your life, despite the fact that you may still love them deeply.

“…You can’t force someone to be loyal, kind, understanding,” she wrote. “You can’t force someone to be the person you need them to be. Even if it’s for their own good!! Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without.”

The post has inspired many people, with comments including, “@khloekardashian girl u r a beautiful soul…,” “Amen to that Continue to be strong, this pain and hurt your going thru is only temporary, something better will come from this,” “Loyal – keep your head up @khloekardashian,” and “This is truly phenomenal. Thank you Khloe.”

No one knows exactly who Kardashian is referring to in the post, but the common consensus is that it’s about her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.

“Damn Lamar,” gratefulreilly wrote.

“Lowkey [sic] shade at @lamar,” l.quality shared.

And there’s a reason people are jumping to this conclusion: Odom was recently seen partying again. According to Us Weekly, he was spotted buying drinks for friends at Johnny O’Brien’s, a pub in Los Angeles, and a source close to the Kardashian family told the publication there were concerns “that Lamar could go back to his old ways.”

After all that Kardashian has been through with Odom — following his near-fatal overdose at a Las Vegas brothel — it’s not surprising she would be disappointed if she suspected that he was slipping back into his old habits. But could she really be cutting him out of her life for good?

Regardless of who the post is directed at, Kardashian makes an important statement: It is extremely hard to try and help those who don’t want to be helped; and if she’s at the point where she needs to let go because this person is negatively affecting her own life, then we really don’t blame her.
