DWTS‘ Jodie Sweetin is feeling the pressure, thanks to some new added challenges

Jodie Sweetin survived a scare last week that she would be sent home from Dancing with the Stars. Her and her dancing partner, Keo Motsepe, both revealed that their hearts were racing until the moment they were told they were safe to compete in the next round of the competition. The joy didn’t last long, though — Sweetin realized with a new week comes tough new challenges.

The actress, who is blogging her whole experience for People, revealed that she and Motsepe will be dancing to Shakira’s “Try Everything” from Zootopia. She described the dance as “super high-energy and fun, but there are a few things that have made this week more nerve-racking than past weeks.”

For starters, the dance is 30 seconds longer than the minute-long routines the couples have been dancing in the previous weeks. Thirty seconds may sound relatively short, but when you consider that the dances they’ve been performing have only been a minute long, it’s definitely a huge step up in difficulty.

To add to the pressure, “We are adding a fun but difficult technical element to our dance — we are going to be dancing with the animated characters from Zootopia. That meant we had to have our routine locked in early and send video of the rehearsals to the animators so they could prepare the animation.”

Is it just me or does DWTS seem to punish the couples who succeed? Every week just gets harder and harder they hardly have time to celebrate their victories!

Shout out to Sweetin for keeping a positive attitude and having fun with the whole thing. Any time the stars aren’t enjoying the dances, it’s totally obvious to the audience and makes it painful to watch. Even if her dance isn’t perfect, it will definitely be exciting to watch!

Good luck to her and all the couples!
