After Brandi Glanville‘s exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she hasn’t shied away from calling out Bravo producers and editors for manufacturing drama. But even worse, she says, is the pressure the women themselves feel to create conflict. In a new interview with Broadly, Glanville digs deep into her feelings on the show and what’s next for her career. Spoiler alert: She’s headed for more reality television.

Glanville doesn’t have regrets about her time on RHOBH. Even though she was often portrayed as “crazy,” she says she understands the need for the show to create a certain level of drama. “At the end of the day, everyone will have their turn as a villain,” she said. “They bring you up just to bring you down. It just depends if it’s your season or not. I see it on every franchise — inevitably everyone has their turn.”

She says she created a larger-than-life version of herself to feed the need for onscreen drama. “But it’s easy to forget that at the end of the day we’re going to get judged as human beings instead of as actors, because we’re all just playing ourselves,” she said. “In the end, I think we all do become over-the-top versions of ourselves.”
Now, she’s just finished filming Famously Single, a new reality show for E!. She’ll appear alongside “lovelorn celebrities” like Pauly D and Aubrey O’Day on a journey to solve their relationship issues. She’s back in the reality TV saddle, but the medium is different, Glanville insists. She says, “I’ve been basically single for seven years, and there’s probably a reason why. I figured I could work on myself through the show, and I was excited to do a show that wasn’t drama based.”
