Since leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik has made some big changes to his personal and professional life, and while fans were shocked when he and former fiancée, Perrie Edwards, called it quits, there’s no denying that he has found happiness again, this time with Gigi Hadid.

And the pair are definitely not afraid to put their love on display: Hadid stars in the music video for Malik’s hit track “Pillow Talk,” and the couple recently landed a spread in Vogue (which sees them looking super loved up).

These two clearly know what they want, and according to a new report, they could be taking a massive step in their relationship in the future.
That step? An engagement!
There are rumors that the pair got engaged during an intimate dinner at their favorite New York City restaurant, Butter. According to Star magazine, via Hollywood Life, the couple had been seated in the back of the restaurant when an onlooker heard Hadid excitedly shout, “Yes!”
They reportedly celebrated with Champagne and the source said, “They even got a round of applause from some other diners!”

However, there may not be too much weight in these rumors — but that’s not to say the couple doesn’t have marriage on the brain.
“They’re not engaged yet, but it’s heading there; they’re moving really fast and couldn’t be more in love,” a source told Hollywood Life. “If they do get engaged, it’s not going to be something Gigi will want to hide. She’s very proud to be dating Zayn. If and when he asks her to marry him, there is no way she’ll keep it a secret.”
That’s great to know, especially since the pressure that comes with living a life in the public eye must be overwhelming, so Hadid clearly has a lot of confidence in her relationship if she’s willing to open it up to public scrutiny.

Although, it may be good for the couple to wait a while before they get married as they have only been together for around five months — they went public with their romance last November, shortly after the American Music Awards.
