Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani have reportedly decided on their divorce settlement, and it’s not quite what you might expect.

According to TMZ, Rossdale agreed to a settlement in which he’s taking millions of dollars less than what he’s entitled to take under California law. Considering all the rumors that their marriage ended because he cheated on Stefani, could this be his way of repenting for his actions?
TMZ is reporting that because of California law, and the fact that Rossdale and Stefani didn’t have a prenup, each of them was entitled to 50 percent of everything they acquired during their 13-year marriage. But in the settlement, which has already been filed with the court, Rossdale reportedly didn’t even ask for a big chunk of the money Stefani made from touring and record sales during their marriage.
That’s a pretty lopsided agreement in favor of Stefani, who has far more income than Rossdale — and future earning potential, which means she could have been on the hook for some pretty big child support payments, had Rossdale asked for them. According to TMZ, he didn’t.

The one thing Rossdale and Stefani reportedly did split down the middle is time with the kids. The site is reporting that they agreed on a 50/50 joint custody agreement for their three sons, but Rossdale will actually get more than 50 percent custody in the near future because of Stefani’s busy touring schedule.
At least their divorce agreement seems to prove one thing: Rossdale and Stefani sound like they’re on decent terms, despite the end of their 13-year marriage.
