Sure, Catelynn Lowell was a Teen Mom, but she’s a great role model, too

Catelynn Lowell surprised fans when she revealed she would be entering rehab to seek help for postpartum depression. But now she’s back, and she has a very positive new outlook.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Lowell shared one of the first pictures since her return from rehab: a photo of her new tattoo, which has been inked on her forearm. It reads, “My story isn’t over yet.”

And the post was accompanied by an upbeat caption: “That’s right #keepmovingforward.”

According to Us Weekly, the tattoo appears to be a nod to Project Semicolon — an organization dedicated to education and awareness for mental illness and suicide — whose tagline is, “Your story is not over.”

But more than just having a special significance for herself, Lowell’s tattoo and willingness to speak out about her depression is helping to create awareness for mental health and inspire a change of attitude toward it, something which fans have applauded the Teen Mom star for doing.

“I didn’t think I could like you more than I already did, but then you went and got this amazing tattoo,” _hb1214_ gushed. “Love it, and love you for showing your support to this great cause. #projectsemicolon #mystoryisntover.”

“I love it, Cate! Can’t wait to get my semicolon tattoo,” la.rii_la.rii wrote.

“I saw this for a reason tonight, Cate. Thank you for that. I’m going through just about the same thing you did, but with my own father, and tonight was one of the worse [sic]. This just gave me so much reassurance,” mkxth shared.

Living life in the public eye can have its drawbacks, but it’s moments like this, when someone uses their personal struggles and their own journey to inspire, that make it truly worth it.
