Jay Z’s response to Lemonade will prob be a remix of Shaggy’s ‘It Wasn’t Me’

Beyoncé’s Lemonade was essentially a tirade against her cheating husband Jay Z… or was it? The power couple has never strayed from collaborating in the past, and a new rumor has us feeling like their whole life is one big art project. Us Weekly has an insider tip that Jay Z is recording a new album as a response to Lemonade.

“Jay is working on an album telling his side of things,” says the source.

Even more proof exists that Jay Z is recording something new in the photos that surfaced of him in the studio a few weeks ago.


After all the hate directed his way post-Lemonade, anyone would want to have their say. Rita Ora and Rachel Roy sure did. But something about Jay Z releasing a follow-up album feels a little commercial, don’t you think?

Is it possible that this whole ordeal just a way for Beyoncé and Jay Z to create a unique concept for their albums, sell more records and go on tour together? Just last year, they co-headlined a stadium tour with their On the Run show. Before that, Beyoncé’s Mrs. Carter tour also flaunted her relationship status. The source claims the couple is now “better than ever.” With Lemonade breaking records on Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal, I’ll bet they are.
