It isn’t a happy ending for Danielle Fishel and her now ex-husband Tim Belusko. The couple, who’ve been together for over eight years, filed for divorce last year, according to People. As most divorce cases do, it took a while for things to be finalized, but what’s more shocking is that Fishel and Belusko got through the entire process without anyone knowing.

Fishel described their 2013 wedding as “short and sweet” where they were accompanied by 200 guests, including her onscreen soulmate Ben Savage. The couple had been dating for five years, but Fishel talked about being hesitant to get married because Belusko was so much younger. She said in 2013, “He’s seven years younger, but he’s so mature. I just want to keep calling him ‘husband.’ It’s awesome. We’re on the same team forever.”

Unfortunately, it didn’t end up that way. Nothing official has been reported as to why the couple called it quits, but it is interesting to note how quiet and respectful they’ve both been to each other in this ordeal. Fishel is a bonafide celebrity, whom many people have watched grow up in front of their eyes. Yet, she managed to keep her relationship, her wedding and her divorce out of the public eye. Her divorce has been finalized since March and we’re just learning now that it even happened.

There’s something to be said for celebrities who can keep their personal lives private and avoid using their platform to spew nasty rumors or bitter revenge for everyone to see. There are plenty of celebrities (ahem, Brandi Glanville) who use their divorce as an excuse to breed constant negativity. Fishel has always stayed classy and silent. Remaining, in everyone’s hearts, a sweetheart and someone who knows that airing your dirty laundry is never, ever a good idea.
